SMALL AND SIMPLE WAYS
SMALL AND SIMPLE.
By Elder Mhondera
I have come to perceive that each day of our lives is replete with subtle miracles that frequently pass unnoticed. While we often seek extraordinary, life-altering events, such as discovering Lake Victoria or scaling Mount Everest, the very essence of being alive and having a loving Heavenly Father constitutes a miracle in itself, a truth we ought to reflect on continually.
It is imperative that we demonstrate our gratitude to God for the abundant blessings and miracles He bestows upon us daily. These are not always momentous occurrences, but rather the minor graces that cumulatively lead to a more profound comprehension of God's love for us. Acknowledging these modest blessings has the capacity to transform our outlook and instill in us a sense of profound gratitude.
As stated in Alma 37:6-7, "Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise. And the Lord God doth work by means to bring about his great and eternal purposes; and by very small means the Lord doth confound the wise and bringeth about the salvation of many souls." This scripture serves as a perpetual reminder of the potency inherent in the seemingly inconsequential aspects of our existence.
We come to understand that the Lord's work is manifested through modest and uncomplicated means, necessitating our patience and unwavering faith in every facet of our lives. Let us, therefore, acknowledge the blessings the Lord has graciously bestowed upon us and the miracles we witness daily. May we remain humble and place our trust in the Lord, irrespective of the trials we may encounter along our path. Remembering this helps me to stay grounded and focused on what truly matters.
May you remain blessed, humble, and true to yourselves.
Amen
